Day 0 - Tuesday, July 28
Optional Early Arrival 

  • If you’d like to arrive Tuesday, July 28, you’ll receive first choice of bedroom and enjoy an extra evening and breakfast in this beautiful location. See below for pricing details.

Day 1 - Wednesday, July 29
Values, Purpose, & Motivation

  • Arrive by 11:00 am

  • Welcome, introductions, and orientation

  • Clarify your intentions for the retreat: What is the personal challenge, goal, leadership question, transition issue, or professional “problem of practice” you want to focus on?

  • Thinking about your retreat focus: why does it matter? What’s the “So What?” of it?

  • Identify or revisit and reconnect with your core values

  • Explore how you can lean into your values to maintain clarity and motivation in the face of competing demands 

Day 2 - Thursday, July 30
Distractions, Road Blocks, & “Pebbles”

  • What pulls you off-course? We will identify your distractions, road blocks, and the “pebbles in your shoe,” with an emphasis on how to see them coming and prevent, minimize, and overcome them

  • We’ll practice a variety of activities that support present moment awareness to help you be more focused, effective, and less reactive

  • We’ll delve into the power of small habits and identify personal interventions you can use to bring yourself back when distractions, road blocks, and “pebbles” threaten to pull you off course

Day 3 - Friday, July 31
Supported Silence

  • You will have the opportunity to dive deep into your own wisdom

  • Prompts for reflection and writing will be available to support your thinking

  • 1:1 sessions with J.Marie will give you an experienced thought partner to help you navigate challenges that emerge

Day 4 - Saturday, August 1
Integration & Next Steps

  • Research shows that you don’t need to have a whole plan figured out in order to move forward effectively. You just need clarity of purpose and an achievable next step

  • We’ll spend today in reflection, integration, and dialogue about what emerged during your day of supported silence and help you identify your next step

Day 5 - Sunday, August 2
Closing Activities & Departure

  • How will you be different as a result of this experience? What commitment are you willing and able to make to yourself?

  • Closing reflections and farewells by 11:00 a.m.

A typical day:

  • 6:30-9 am Buffet breakfast, optional guided meditation and yoga

  • 9-11:30 am Morning workshop, group activities & dialogue

  • 11:30 - 1 pm Self-directed recreation, reflection, and/or rest

  • 1-3 pm The main meal of the day will be catered in for us

  • 3-5:30 pm Afternoon workshop, group activities & dialogue

  • 5:30 pm Evening tea & light meal

  • 7 pm Optional group recreation activities

  • 9pm Optional guided evening meditation
